If I could give zero stars, I would. I called to get help with a house lockout. I asked for a quote and was told a vague "29.95 service fee and when the technician shows up, he'll tell you what the full cost would be." I stated "That's too vague for me. Thank you." and was about hang up. The customer service rep then quickly said they would give me a 10% discount for being a first time customer and if I gave my phone number, the tech could call me with a flat rate. I replied that I would agree to that ONLY IF the tech would call me with a flat fee and I would potentially agree based on the call and the quote. The rep on the phone then got my phone number and address based on this agreement. We hung up and eventually I found my key and got myself in. I missed the tech's call but called back and canceled the service call. I also missed a call from the main help desk line, so I called them back. The rep on the other end was incredibly rude - continued to interrupt me and told me that I would be charged a service fee simply for "initiating a service call." I told him, between increasingly frustrating reminders to stop interrupting me, that I did NOT initiate a service call and was simply waiting on a quote from the tech. I told him I would NOT pay anything for a service I had not agreed to. He said "Ok. Fine. You'll just hear from our debt collector" and hung up on me. HORRIBLE service, and it's a bait-and-switch. Eventually I spoke with another customer service rep who canceled the call and assured me that I would not be charged this ridiculous service fee.

I've had miserable experiences going back and forth with Home Depot trying to get a key that actually works on my door, so I was drawn to KeyMe's guarantee that it would work. I was skeptical, but it ABSOLUTELY worked on the first try. There's a bit of an upcharge from Home Depot or similar, but for me, it's worth it for a key that works without a trip out of the way.
